The cotton
It starts with the cotton. The family that knits our fabric has spent generations in the trade, and they choose the cotton themselves, because good yarn only comes from good fibre.
Staples
What goes into a Staples tee, from the cotton to the way it fits.

It starts with the cotton. The family that knits our fabric has spent generations in the trade, and they choose the cotton themselves, because good yarn only comes from good fibre.
02
The yarn is knitted into French terry: smooth on the outside, soft loops on the inside. At 240 GSM it has the weight of a light sweatshirt, so the tee hangs straight and keeps its shape.
03
Before anything is cut, the fabric is bio-washed for a softer feel and pre-shrunk, so the size you order is the size you keep.
04
The cut has been refined over three years, one round of customer feedback at a time. Customers tell us bigger brands haven't fit them this way.
05
Wash cold and inside out. Dry it in the shade. Iron it inside out, if you iron at all. That is all it needs.
